I try to archive anything over 4 Gig of video is when it happen to me. I am having the exact same problem with my Canon Vixa HG21 AVCHD camcorder, exact same error as well. without any problem, but the main reason I got Toast 10 is for the AVCHD Archive and I'm starting to get really frustrated. Once I hit Okay, it begins to encode, but that only lasts for about for about 5 min before it quits and sends me this error message: Once I get through that wait, Toast tells me how many discs the footage is going to span over. When I choose AVCHD Archive, it takes an abnormally long time preparing. Unfortunately, I am unable to burn discs using the AVCHD Archive (which was the whole point of going out and getting Toast 10 in the first place). So, I went out and got Toast 10, and even upgraded to the HD/BD Plug-in. I just purchased the new Panasonic HMC-150 video camera, and read on multiple blogs that Toast 10 was the best way of archiving AVCHD footage. I am currently using Toast 10 because of the AVCHD archive capabilities. Unfortunately there is no immediate solution as that file format is not officially supported, but I will get my hands on one of the Everio HDD-based cameras in the near future. TOD files was never specifically added to Toast, however since those files are essentially MPEG-2 transport streams with Dolby Digital audio I can understand how Toast may try to parse the file as opposed to telling you that the file format is not supported. When I then mount the image in toast, and burn it to DVD, it is working great on my sony blu-ray player. I tried writing to my internal, and external Sony dvd writer. I use the option Video / Blu-ray video / Encoding automatic and Video Quality "Best". My idea was, to burn clips I made with my JVC camera on a DVD, playable in a Sony Blu-Ray player. Today I downloaded and installed Toast 10 plus the T10 HDBD Plug-in. I am using a Macbook Pro 15", Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.33 Ghz, 2Gb Ram and OS 10.5.6
